SPEEDBOAT MAGAZINE Teams with MYRICK COIL on High-Powered Performance Boating Podcast

Offshore Racing multi-time National/World Champion with Team M CON / Monster Energy Racing, Team Performance Boat Center / FASS Fuel Systems and Speedboat Test Team Driver Myrick Coil is teaming up with Speedboat magazine publisher Ray Lee to create an all-new weekly podcast called Boats & Bros––available in both audio and video formats, with the first two episodes scheduled to launch Wednesday March 29th.
Coil, who is the shop foreman at Missouri’s mega-dealership Performance Boat Center, says he encountered a co-worker listening to a podcast about motorcycles. “I said, ‘Why don’t you listen to one about performance boats?’ He said, ‘There isn’t one.’ So that’s how the idea came about.”
With a virtually limitless roster of contacts, including fellow racers, poker runners and industry luminaries, Coil says he'll have no problem luring guests to the show; he’s already lined up Teague Custom Marine founder Bob TeagueVinnie Diorio of Team SV Racing and Johnny Tomlinson of TNT Marine CenterTeam Huski Racing and Team Marine Technology Inc. for the initial segments.
“The main idea is to talk about performance boats with Myrick,” Lee says. “He’s been in the industry a long time; he's very well respected, well liked and can bring great guests.” Lee adds that topics won’t necessarily be limited to offshore racing. “We’ll address topics related to performance boats in general,” he says. “Myrick is very well versed in boats of all types, and of course he’s a Speedboat Magazine test team driver. We’re going to have conversations with people from various corners of the industry, just talking about boats. I’m basically playing the role of moderator.”
The podcast will be available in audio and video formats. Audio only will be available via Apple PodcastSpotifyIHeartRadio, and various other outlets where podcasts are streamed. The video format will be available on the Boats & Bros YouTube channel.
